Custom Post Type Template

I am so closed to figuring out how to display my custom post types on a template that is similar to the one I use for my blog posts.

I have created new files for loop.php, single.php, template-blog files naming my new custom post type resources. I can’t seem to figure out what part of which of these php files I either screwed up or didn’t include to make the custom post types appear on my Resources page in a manner similar to how my posts appear on my blog page.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As an fyi, in case it makes a difference, I am using the latest version of WooThemes’ Canvas template and all files are up to day.
