Yes, Email Subscribers does support custom post types. You may create custom post types on your end and select them while creating Post Notifications.

By the way, I have the following question: Can I limit notifications of new posts on any post types? So for example only alerts for costum-type “events”?

And how? I can select costum-posttypes, but I can’t de-select default post-type …

Yes you won’t be able to de-select default post type. To overcome this, you can create a temp post category and keep it selected in post notification. Just make sure you never post a new blog in that temp post category.
