Not quite following what you mean. What settings did you use to register your post type?

    Thanks for your answer.
I installed the plugin and Added a new custom post type (name, label, singular label and description).
Then i could see on the admin panel, the Custom post type, on the left.
Inside, if i click “Add new” what i get is a page (i expected a post).
so my question is: is there any way to get a post instead of a page, so i can add categories and tags (for example)?

i hope i was a bit more clear this time.
and thanks in advance for your answer!

Ah, I think I see the issue. Below the “Description” text area are 2 links that you can click for advanced options for both labels and others. Click the one on the right. The CPT UI page will expand and show a lot more options available. Towards the bottom will be where you can add category/tag support.
