Custom Post Types ‘Hierarchy’ bug

I’ve been experimenting with Custom Post Types. I have successfully set up several custom post types, but when I set the ‘Heirarchical = true’ it does not appear to function properly. This presents in 2 ways

1) when creating a new post, I have no fields to select a ‘parent’ post

2) when using ‘quick edit’ on the main posts window, I can see the descriptor ‘Parent’, but there is no dropdown field next to it to select a parent.
