Hello WJ,

[I was stupid enough to already put this Q on your comments section. Sorry! Please, remove it if you like.]

I’m after some custom fields on WC Product Page. Mainly on categories view.

I’m selling items in three different categories: books, movies and music. I’d like to view the basic info on a format like this:

– – –
Author
PRODUCT NAME
(Product type)
Price
– – –

Here’s an example:

– – –
Martin Scorsese
TAXI DRIVER
(DVD)
9,90 €
– – –

Basic problem is this: Two of those fields are missing on Woocommerce. Only (bolded) Product name and Price are available.

Is this somehow [nicely] executable using your WJ Plus plugin? Perhaps with global shortcodes, or something. I tried it with Custom Price Label, but no quick luck.

• Hi,

You should try using the Product Info module (in “WooCommerce > Settings > Jetpack > Products > Product Info”). I’ve made a quick modifications, (the development version), and added [wcj_product_custom_field] shortcode. To display e.g. total_sales custom field, you should add something like this: [wcj_product_custom_field name="total_sales"] in Product Info module. Please let me know if that worked.

Best regards,

Hello Tom,

Unfortunately, it’s not functioning. There’s no field (on backend) to give extra info, like author of the book. But I tried this instead, just to see:

[wcj_sku]

…and it was ok.

Was thas a proper link = new Jetpack file?

Hello Tom,

This ?quick modification? of yours IS working (now). It was just that… Nobody said nothing about using the WordPress Custom Fields, to store the desired value. See, I’m just a stupid shopkeeper and end loser. :/

Case closed. Thanks!

Hi,

Sorry that I didn’t reply. Glad it’s working now. Please let me know if you have any more questions.

Best regards,
