• I just upgraded to WP 2.0.7. I think I had been at 2.0.3 and I went directly to .7. Now when I’m typing a post, my custom quicktags are gone. The quicktags bar is there and the quicktags.js file still has my custom buttons for the toolbar, but they don’t show up when I’m posting.

I’ve tried re-saving my quicktags.js file (with my custom buttons included), but it’s still the default quicktags bar that I get.

Any ideas anyone? Help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

  • the obvious:

the file that contains the quicktags was changed when you uploaded the new files.

    quicktags are defined inside wp-includes/js/quicktags.js

Diff the new file and an old file that you have backed up, and put back whats currently missing.

And if that’s not it, try clearing your browser’s cache, or at least forcing a reload of the page. Script files can get “stuck” sometimes.

That was it!! Thanks a ton!

I had no idea that the location for quicktags.js had been moved from wp-admin to wp-includes/js.

I just moved old quicktags file over and that took care of it.
