Custom Role name & Capabilities

  • Greetings,
    We are looking for a plugin to assign custom role and names to users like Author or Editors as Storyteller or manager.
    Also we want to show that in our theme (Using newspaper theme) that where the author name appears, it should show the user role title like:

    By Sagar Gulati (Storyteller)

    Any plugins or advanced helps for editing the theme or functions appreciated!

  • I just did a search for user roles within the plugins directory. You should be able to find numerous plugins that can assign roles to your users.

    The same applies for the bio details of authors at the end of each post (as an example) so I searched for bio author details within the plugins directory.

    When experimenting with plugins, always make sure they’re compatible with your version of WordPress.

    Any particular plugin you could recommend who can sort the thing we need?
    Like showing the custom role name beside By Author Name?
