custom settings lost .. after template update

    all my custom settings are lost .. after template update

    this is happened again .. .

    please suggest what to do

  • Use child theme for any code customization. This way you can preserve the modifications while updating the theme.

    Did you make a backup of your site before updating the template? If so, restore it. Then, create a child template and put your changes there. Then, update the theme.

    If your changes were just CSS changes, you can install the plugin “Simple Custom CSS” and put them there.

    If you didn’t backup your site before you updated, they’re pretty much gone. They’ve been overwritten by the updated files in the theme.

    what ive lost are settings of modules and items in widgets

    ive tried restoring tempalte again .. BUT this one seems wordpress issue and not of theme
