    Hello Aprowler!

    Sorry for late reply.

If you use shortcode, you can’t change title via setting option. Setting option only work for php code ‘<?php do_action(‘show_bnt’); ?>’

If you want to change title via shortcode, use it: ‘[breaking_news_ticker title=”Breaking News”]’

Please let me know if I can help you with anything else.

    Thanks

    Hello eliawk!

First let me know which option you use? Shortcode or PHP code?

    Thanks

I am having the same trouble – I change the settings on the Options screens to what I want them to be, but my customizations are not reflected in the display (front end) whether I use the widget, or the shortcode, or the php code……also I cannot find the “shortcode generator”….. so whatever method I use to display the ticker just shows the default options, which is not what I want.

I have a custom post type setup (“news”) and I can check this in the options – great. I then set my CSS style in the Styles Options tab. Save, looks good in the back end. But the front end displays blog posts (not news) and in styles that are not what I selected.

How do I show the ticker for the settings I’ve made? In the widget, there are not the same options ( I cannot choose my custom post type)…

    Hello TrishaM..

First one, If you use <?php do_action('show_bnt'); ?> then the global settings only work. Otherwise you have to use shortcode.

How To Use The Shortcode Generator

Step 1 – Open a page or post and click on the Visual or Text editing tab.

Step 2 – In the editing panel to (beside ‘add media’ tab), click the shortcode button to initiate the generator.

Step 3 – In the popup window, customize your settings on the shortcode options that load, then click the Insert Shortcode button and it will be inserted on the page.

And the last thing is, currently widget option not supported any custom post type. We will release our next version soon and we add this feature next version sure.

If you like this plugin, then please leave us a good rating and review or If you have any other questions or would like us to clarify anything else, please, let us know. We are always glad to help in any way we can.

    Thanks

Many thanks for the quick response! I feel silly, but I would have never thought to go to a Post to find the shortcode generator, because I need to use it in a widget on the home page, not in a Post, LOL!

Once I found it, it was very simple to use, and I really like it so I will leave a good review – but might I suggest that you consider expanding the style options a bit? What I really need is to change the Title color so that it’s not white, because we need it on a white background in order to blend in with our theme……I can change the background colors, but did not see an option to change the (post) title color nor the ticker title color…..

I’m looking forward to your next version! ??
