"Custom Sidebars" Compatibility Issue?

  • We are currently migrating content from one server to another and I am trying to leverage Widget Settings Importer/Exporter to transfer sidebar/widget data to our new server’s WP installation.

    We use “Custom Sidebars” (https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/custom-sidebars) to introduce/manage the long list of current sidebars implemented. [That plugin is installed, is active, and contains all the same registered widget areas.]

    Export worked great — I saw all sidebars. I’ve also viewed the json file to make sure data was exported and is not blank. However, when attempting to import, I am only prompted with the following buttons: “Select All Active Widgets” and “Un-Select All Active Widgets” after clicking “Show Widget Settings”… Essentially displaying a blank list.

    Currently:
    – Running PHP 5.3.10-1ubuntu3.6
    – allow_url_fopen = On (php.ini) [Which resolved a similar issue for someone else, no luck here though.]

    Thoughts? Any knowledge on potential compatibility issues with “Custom Sidebars” plugin? Thanks!
