    Hi there,

i have been using custom sidebars since a while with great pleasure!
Yesterday by accident i made a sidebar for the german homepage and the saved it in the page, then went back to no selection of sidebar so the theme could take the normal one again (instead i just added the widgets and selected display only on the german page).
Ever since it doesnt display any of the sidebars anywhere anymore…
Of course the “allow sidebar to be replaced” box is on but i cant get anything to display anywhere anymore.. except for the standard sidebar which is displaying everywhere now.
Looking forward to hear from you!
    Best regards,

    Nick

  • Hey there @elaxxl thank you for contacting us.

I was wondering if you could please run a plugin conflict test to see if there is any change in the behavior? Also, I was wondering if you have polylang installed on your site? If that’s the case, could you please also try downgrading to the previous version?

Remember to create a backup before running the plugin conflict test.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Hi There,

Sorry for the late reply, somehow i didnt get the follow-up reply via email.
About the backups: i have a backup plugin installed that makes a backup every 24 hours so that should be fine?
I have polylang installed, how do i downgrade this?
And how do i run a plugin conflict test?

    Best regards,

    Nick

    Hello,
same problem here since the last update.
    And Polylang is installed, too.
I got the same questions about conflict test and downgrading ….
    Thanks for any help.

    Hello there @elaxxl, @realbilly

Jorge was able to fully reproduce this error and pushed it to our developers, so a conflict test doesn’t have to happen.

If you wish to downgrade Polylang, then you can get previous versions from here: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/polylang/advanced/

Then you should connect to your server via FTP and replace all files and folders under the /wp-content/plugins/polylang/ folder.

Let me know if further assistance if needed on this.
    Thank you,
    Dimitris

    Hi,
    Good news ??
It works again with the new developement version of Polylang.

Message from the developer of Polylang:
    Hi,

If you wish, you can test the development version that I just pushed on GitHub. https://github.com/polylang/polylang/archive/master.zip

If this is confirmed to fix the issue, this will be part of the next version 2.4.1.
