    Hi,
I just installed Custom Sidebars on a site that recently updated to Gutenberg. The selection to the right of “Allow this sidebar to be replaced” which says “SIDEBAR LOCATION” is just churning. You cannot get to the screen where you select WHICH sidebar location you are going to replace. I assume this is the only place where you can choose which page the new sidebar is to go on?

We are using the WP-Brightly theme, a child of WP-Prosperity.

    Thank you,
    Lili Francklyn

  • Hello @westernwoman

    Hope you’re doing well!

Would you please let us know more about this issue? Is this happens on page’s/post’s sidebar or from Appearance > Widgets?

Also please clarify is the Gutenberg plugin was updated or WordPress was updated to version 5.0?

I’ve assigned a sidebar from a page and from Widget sections and could replicate any issues
    Please see these scresnhots:

Please run a full tet for a conflict with another plugin. Deactivate all plugins, besides the Custom Sidebars and see if the issue still there.

If all is well, please start activating one plugin at a time, until the issue will be back to find out which plugin is causing it.

    Kind regards,
    Nastia

    Hi!

I’ve got the same problem with WordPress 5.0.2 with the Gutenberg editor and the Custom Sidebars plugin.
All the plugins are deactivated and none of all custom sidebars are replacing the originals. On both places: “Page’s/Post’s sidebar” and “Appearance > Widgets”.

I use my own custom theme (Sage 9) and started with a fresh WordPress 5.0.1 installation.

Also on “Appearance > Widgets” after cloning and saving a widget, it’s saving the original settings on both widgets. The visibility also doesn’t work..

    Regards,
    Will

    Hello there @yumius,

this should be theme-related, as default TwentyNineteen with latest Custom Sidebars and WP work well.
Unless it’s a specific Sidebar Location that causes that. Could you please elaborate a bit more on your settings?

    Thank you,
    Dimitris

I think I’m having the same problem since the WP update. I built a sidebar with your plugin prior to the update here https://4dre-donnawade.com/category/blog/. See the heading “What’s New”? Since the update, it won’t update when I change the title.

I’m in Appearance > Widgets, I changed the title to “What’s Up On Facebook”, saved it, but the text will not change on the page.

    Hi @tracihoff,

I’m afraid that I can’t replicate this on my end as changing the title works fine for me, can you try clearing any caching you might have on your site and see if the change is applied after that?

Also, could you start a new ticket, per forum rules, so we can check this for you separately?

    Cheers,
    Predrag
