    After updating I have a persistent notification bubble on the admin menu with the following content;

    Custom Sidebars Pro
Now you can create and edit custom sidebars in your Widgets screen!

Dismissing the notification only removes the notice until a page refresh or navigation to another part of the admin area.

Turning off cache etc doesn’t help.

    Thanks

  • Same thing happens for me too.

    Hi Everyone,

Sorry to hear of the problem you are having.

This is a big miss in process for us here and we’ve been working flat out to fix it up since this was noticed (with a new set of developers no less as the core one had gone to sleep thinking stuff was ok :/)

There should be a brand new working version ready for you any time now.

It won’t happen again, huge apologies and sorry for any inconvenience caused.

If you don’t want the ‘Custom Sidebars Pro’ Notification bubble in Admin right now then in the meanwhile until the new working version is released you can use the older working version( 1.6 ) of custom sidebar plugin by deleting newer version and downloading older version of it from the following link and installing it as described on the following page.

    https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/custom-sidebars.1.6.zip

If we can be of any further assistance please don’t hesitate to ask ??

    Best Regards,
    WPMU DEV

    Hey there,

thanks for taking time to report that issue!
We could reproduce and fix the issue already – there’s a new update published just now that will make that “dismiss” button behave!

Btw: Have fun with the plugin! ??
