Custom single image page

I have been searching high and low for a plugin or tweak that would get this to work with no luck. Any chance anyone has created a custom attachment.php file for their site and might be able to lend me hand or point me in the right direction?

I have the same question, John. Blog like superficial, dlisted, justjared show the original picture eiyhin a page, not the attached file. I′ve found that those blogs show a URL like https://www.nameofblog.com/image or https://www.nameofblog/pictures.

If you discover the trick please, tell me. I’ll do the same if I can find the way

i found a designer for this — if interested just reply to this and i’ll drop you a line – don’t know if is perfect but it gets the job done celebridiot.com and click on any image thumb in a post

I’m surprised nobody chimed in here. WordPress has this sort of thing built in. Just create an attachment.php file in your theme, and it will be used when you display images as a post.

When you upload an image, there’s an option to link to the image or link to it as a page. The image link is direct, but the page link gives a link to a WordPress page containing the attachment. This is because every upload gets its own “post” of sorts. When you link to it this way, it shows that single post. But it uses the attachment.php file in the theme to do it. So copy your theme’s index.php to attachment.php and customize that. Done.
