    Hi,

i am a longtime user of fluentsmtp and it is by far the best smtp plugin i have used.

that being said, i have notice a strange behavior when i use custom smtp config.

i set up everything right, test mail and smtp connection work perfectly, but after a few days, no more email sent and i can see in the config that the smtp password have changed.

    Hello @heave,

I’m sorry to hear about the difficulties you have encountered when using our custom SMTP configuration. To assist you better, would you mind providing a video demonstration or screenshots of the issue? This will enable me to understand the behavior you’re seeing and offer more precise guidance.

I would like to see the exact error message you are experiencing in the email log.
    Thank you.

    Hi Ibrahim,
unfortunalty i can’t film the behavior as it is done on a random timestamp and not instant.

i can just say that once i set up the custom smtp, it works, few days later the password that allow the connection to the smtp has changed in fluent smtp

@heave most probably your site’s SALT keys get changed. FluentSMTP encrypt the passwords and store it on the database for definately security best practices. So maybe your security plugin is rotating the SALT keys after few days. Another alternative method can be to store the SMTP credential on wp-config.php
