Custom Status – NoIndex (and not in sitemap?)

Hi WP Experts,

Currently I’m working on a project where I have around 3000 custom post type posts that I do not want to have indexed or in the sitemaps. So I was using the concept status for them, so when I do want to edit one and get into the index, I can just publish them.

However for a certain plugin this won’t work. So I’m told, why not use a custom post status with Edit Flow.

I managed to get it done this far. But how do I make sure the posts that have this new status are not going to be indexed by Google and will not be put in the Sitemap (using Yoast for xml sitemap)?
