“On backorder” products are shown as “In Stock”

Hello – I have been testing the free version of this plugin for the past few days in order to make a purchase decision, and I have noticed that it does not always appear to display the correct custom stock status both on the back end (admin) product list view and on the front end product detail page:

• On the back end product list view, the custom stock status is (for simple products) based on the default in stock status even when the actual default status is “on backorder”. For variable products, the correct “on backorder” custom status is shown. For “out of stock” products, the custom status also appears to be correct.;
• On the front end product detail page, the custom stock status (for all simple products and variable product variations that are actually “on backorder”) is based on the “in stock” default status. For products that are “out of stock”, the correct custom status is shown.

I would appreciate some feedback on these observations and what could be the cause. Thanks.
