Custom taxonomies not working

I have a custom post type called ‘properties’ which has custom taxonomies such as number of bedrooms etc. In Yoast setup I’m trying to use the CT in the description as below (where ‘bedroom’ is the taxonomy for number of bedrooms:

Here’s what I put into Yoast setup:
%%title%% is a %%ct_bedroom%% bedroom self catering holiday property

Here what I expect as a result:
Beach View is a 3 bedroom self catering holiday property

Here’s what I get:
Nothing!

Any suggestions?
