    Hi,

I created a custom taxonomy named hotel and assigned that to custom post type called hotel as well. And taxonomy is hierarchical. Then I list those taxonomies in Hotels page and that is fine.

But when I create taxonomy page (taxonomy-hotel.php) the page redirection from Hotels page goes to 404 error page. And my taxonomy page is not getting.

Am I did something wrong ? If so, where is the error. And how can I fix this issue ?

    Thanks in Advance

My first bets are that the fact that the post type and taxonomy slugs are matching are the primary cause of issue. Can you try renaming one of them to something else, and make sure to migrate either the post types or the terms with that renaming. Perhaps try “hotel-location” for the taxonomy? Assuming that’s what the taxonomy is being used for, at least.

Basically I think you’re ending up with archive urls that match: mysite.com/hotel/ and when you provide a tax term, it’s thinking that’s a single post in the post type, and that single post doesn’t exist.
