Custom Taxonomy Not Showing in Sidebar

I like the concept of Gutenberg, but there are some remaining issues causing me to question its everyday use. For instance, I use a custom taxonomy that is critical to my content management. However, the Gutenberg editor does not display the custom taxonomy – although the meta boxes for categories and tags are shown. The only option is to use the classic editor.
