• Hi Hector!

I successfully implemented your great plugin into my theme. Would you please consider some sort of enhancement to be able to select custom templates in more flexible way.

Yes, I know, now there is wpp_custom_html for that. However I think if there is an option to choose the template, it would extend possibilities and would follow DRY principles much more. Such of request I found on github

(it’s implemented good enough in Flexible Posts widget)

If so, you may have any number of custom loop templates and don’t need to double the code. Just selecting from the dropdown in the widget, let’s say. As per shortcodes, it may be done as [… template=”loop-template-1″] and so on. Beside of flexibility, it is quite good for user expirience, giving the ready-to-use options to choose.

Using wpp_custom_html not always enough – for example, you need to have a large variety of designs and using ajax at the time…

Hope you also will find this useful ^).. at least as I saw there is some demand on this feature ??

    Hey Alex!

Yes, that task has been on my TODO list for quite a while now. I left that issue open purposely to remind myself to go back to it once I’m done with more important features / bug fixes / tasks. I also believe that the ability to use templates to customize the plugin would be a lot more user friendly than using WordPress filters, so we’re all on the same page here. For the time being WPP’s filters will have to do.

Your suggestions are quite good so thanks for sharing your thoughts on the matter ??
