Custom Theme Javascript Not Working (Responsive-Select-Menu)

    Hello,

    I recently dove straight in to WordPress (was creating with Drupal) and had to convert an HTML/CSS website, to a WordPress theme.. Well, I managed to break the site up into three sections (Index, Footer, Template page) so all would work. However, none of the JS that I try to add is working. I’ve managed to get it where I can use a plugin for the menu, but need JS to make it link to other pages!

    I can’t publicly post the URL, as it’s for work, however, if we can private message or anything of that sort on the forum, or email, I’ll happily share the URL, just can’t publicly.

    I’m not sure what to put in the functions.php or what-not to set up javascript correctly, so that may be my issue. Kind of a rough way to jump into WordPress, but the more I learn the better!

    @nick, it is alright, I remember that I have watched this video Create WordPress Theme from Scratch uploaded by JREAM and it helped me set up my first theme back in November 2014. I recommend it to you.

    If you don’t understand any part, please bear in mind that we are here to help and share what we learn.

    Go ahead creating the required templates and PHP files, you may also want to create a 2012 child theme..

    Sorry for the late reply, have been out of the office for a few days. I’ve been watching parts and pieces of the video. Hard to follow on some parts, as I’m converting a theme from html/css to WordPress, and not making from scratch.

    Plan on making the themes in the future from scratch however, so this is still a big help!

    It is alright. Whenever you are free. I am looking forward being able to look at your site and dig through the HTML/CSS code lol.. hopefully it would help setting up a template ??

    but the problem is with my blog page which is in wordpress mediastinct.com/blog/

    I am trying to make my blog page menu same as mobile responsive menu on rest all pages but unable to do soo..

    can u please help…Have no knowledge for converting html/css menu to wordpress

    I do know that Html menu has uses JS..
