  • Try the following:

    1. Go to Titles & Metas page under SEO menu.
    2. Click on “Post Types” tab.
    3. Remove this from titles: %%sep%% %%sitename%%
    4. If that still doesn’t work, go to General tab on this page and
    check “Force rewrite titles”.

    That should do it. If that still doesn’t work, most likely your theme is re-writing your title tag and includes site name. You would have to edit your header.php file. I just dealt with that issue today on one of our sites.

    Thank you for reply, this works but…

    For almost all (forgot to say like that hm) I edit the title so writing “plant-name (Latin name)” would be ok and ” – sitename” should be automatically added at the end.
    But for those few posts which titles I don’t edit, nothing should be changed, they would need to have default “posttitle – sitename” layout…
