Hi, i have used seo all in one plugin on several sites to write custom title tags, however on my current site the custom title tag will not appear instead it is generating a tag using %page_title% | %blog_title

Here is what i have tried

    * I wrote a page titles in the all-in-one section at the bottom of each individual Page on my site

    * Under ‘general settings’ i set “rewrite titles” to Disabled

    * I put wp_head just before </head>

    * I also tried enabling and disabling the “Use Original Title” setting under general settings.

I have searched for answers but nothing i have tried will display the custom title tag i wrote on each Page.

Every time (and despite disabling “rewrite titles”) I get a <title tag that is auto-generated using %page_title% | %blog_title%

Before i switch to a new plugin thought maybe somebody knows what is wrong.

I am using bResponsizePro theme and jetpack

    thanks,

Can you provide a URL for a page where this is happening.

    Hi angulr,

So I see that this is a page with a page title of PPC Management Company. If the default setting for Page Title Format is unchanged %page_title% | %blog_title% then the Title tag does appear to be correct as:

PPC Management Company | Portland Internet Marketing Company, Portland Oregon

assuming that Portland Internet Marketing Company, Portland Oregon is your Site Title.

What did you enter as the SEO Title in All in One SEO Pack for this page?

In Edit Page mode, under the “SEO All-In-One” pack section at the bottom of the page i have entered the custom title

PPC Management Company Portland Oregon Pay Per Click Management

That’s the issue, I can’t get the All-In-One custom title to appear, only the %page_title% | %blog_title% title will appear despite setting “rewrite titles” to Disabled under general settings

When you disable Rewrite Titles you are turning off or disabling All in One SEO Pack from writing the Title tag. If you want to use All in One SEO Pack to generate and control your Title tag then do not disable Rewrite Titles.

ok, instead of %page_title% | %blog_title% what do i put under Page Title Format so that the custom title from the seo all-in-one setting appears.

If you don’t want the Site Title to appear then remove the following:

    | %blog_title%

    that worked, thank you!
