Custom (URL) Widget (code to open new page?)

hi all.

i am using a Custom Widget as a Menu Item to link to a scribd document.

is there a way to alter the code to have this open in a new page? i am not seeing an option to do this as i do in some other funtionality.

also, is there an(other) or better place to post this kind of question?
