Custom UU Profile Fields

I have asked this same question before, how come the custom profile fields don’t load on the users profile. What is the point of having users fill out a field related to the sites niche if this does not load on their profile, for instance are you a MAN or WOMAN a vital profile requirement if you are running a dating site.
The only fields that load are the default UU profile fields.
