Custom Widget Area

    Hi,

    I am looking to change my homepage, instead of having the 6 most recent posts, I would like my homepage to be:
    The widget that shows the most recently published post, at the top of the page, followed by the “About Me” section.

    How do I create a new area to make this possible?
