I am testing out this plugin, and so far so good. How can a customer cancel a subscription? I can see the subscription(s) on the my-account/subscriptions page but there are not buttons to suspend/cancel/reactivate a subscription. I’ve seen that the Woocommerce Subscriptions plugin will only display if the payment gateway supports those actions. Is the same true for this plugin? (Since I am only testing locally, I am using products with a $0.00 price and have not configured the gateway…which would explain why they are not visible). Thanks!

  • Hi @warrenw

If the subscription can be cancelled, it will show the cancel option in view subscription details, please see the screenshot here.

I understand, but what are the conditions that must be met in order for the subscription to be cancelled? I have ordered a subscription, and can see that it is active in the admin portion of the site, but no buttons appear for the customer on the my-account/subscriptions page or the subscription details screen (as seen here).

    Hi @warrenw,

Both on-hold and active subscription can have the option to cancel as in the screenshot shared earlier. Are you getting any error in server error log file when you are viewing the subscription details page in my-account.?

I am having the same issue. Here is the screen-shot. It says that the subscription is active, but the only option is to view.

If you click view, it shows order details, but no way of canceling the subscription.

I do not remember the specific issue I was having at the time (it may have been another plugin or an error with GeoIP) as it was a demo site, but I believe that @markhf was correct in recommending turning on debug logging. If there are errors they will be visible on page load.

Hi @markhf I have the same problem. The cancel button is not showing in my subscricripton details, screenshot here. Also I am not getting any error in server error log file when viewing the subscription details page in my-account.

    I am working with:
    WooCommerce 3.3.3
    HF Subscriptions for WooCommerce 1.2.3

Any help with be much appreciated, thanks!

Quick question, when someone cancels a subscription will they have access to the features until the period is up or will the cancellation end all features immediately. That is if the cancel in the middle of the month will they continue to have access until month end?

@elistry2 When a customer cancels a subscription that still have time remaining on it the subscription status will change to “Pending Cancellation” and then switch to “Cancelled” when the month is up. The customer should still have access to features in “Pending Cancellation” status I believe.
