It’s the beginning of the year, and several customers have received new credit cards with updated expiry dates and CVV number. However it’s not possible to edit a saved card, they’re only able to delete the card.

Once they’ve deleted the card, they get an error when attempting to add the new card:

    Duplicate card already exists

What’s happened is that the card has been deleted from the site, but is still in the Braintree vault. I have to manually go into the Braintree vault to delete the card and then only is the customer able to add their card as a saved payment method.

Request: Would it be possible to automatically delete the card from the Braintree vault when the customer deletes their card (saved payment method)?

    Thanks

    Hey @blogjunkie!

Thanks for contacting us about our PayPal Powered by Braintree gateway plugin! I’m happy to help out here ??

Sorry to hear that when customers delete their card as a saved payment method in WooCommerce, the cards aren’t being removed from the Braintree vault. When a card is removed from WooCommerce, the plugin should also delete the token from the Braintree vault. We’d love to help troubleshoot this issue with you a bit further.

If you’d like us to take a closer look as to why this isn’t working as expected, would you please raise a support request via our support form, or alternatively, raise a new support request via your WooCommerce.com account?

    Thanks!
