    Hi,

    I have been using this awesome plugin for quite sometime now, but I recently noticed that I’m not able to send email review reminders without getting customer consent. How can I bypass this?

    Can you please let me know which setting do you have for the “Verified Reviews” field on the “Review Reminder” tab in the plugin’s settings?

    The setting of “Independently Verified” is chosen in the Verified Reviews field.

    Thanks for providing additional details.

    If you do not want to display a consent checkbox, please switch the “Verified Reviews” option to “No verification”.

    If you would like to use the “Independently verified” option and have CusRev to send review reminders on your behalf, then we require an explicit consent from your customers according to the EU laws.

    Ok sure. Has this always been the case? Because I’ve been using the plugin for around a year now, and never had the consent issue come up before.

    Unfortunately, EU laws do now allow “automatically checked” checkboxes.

    If you would like to bypass it, please use the “No verification” setting. We will also check the question about non-EU countries.

    Ok sure. If I use the “No Verification” setting, will I be losing the “verified owner” tag on the reviews, or it has nothing to do with it?

    The “verified owner” tag will still be displayed. However, there will be no link to a verified copy of the review on the CusRev website.
