• Hi, I foolishly upgraded to Version 3 of Woo on Friday, whilst updating some other Woo plugins… its broken a few things on my site. The main one being the Customer Payment Page. The way I operate with many of my customers is that I put custom orders together in the back end of Woo and then send the customer the payment page link. If I now click on ‘Customer Payment Page’ it takes me to a page on my site with the following error:

INVALID ORDER. IF YOU HAVE AN ACCOUNT PLEASE LOG IN AND TRY AGAIN.

  • I would suggest that instead to ask to loging with an account at first time, they could see the cart and them be asked to loging, if has a loging or complete without it.

Too much steps or barries can make a client give up or dislike to use my own billing system.

The client need to perceive that the payment link works, is safe and easy to go on.

Had the same issues after upgrading woo to the last version. We had a few payment pending orders for a few days which was a bit strange. So I found this treat…

The fix. Maybe temporary but it works.

    1. Install WP rollback plugin
    2. In installed plugin list you will see an on option “rollback” for each plugin.
    3. rollback woocommerce to 2.6.14 and it’s back to normal.

    Hope this helps…

We have a huge amount of people look at our website but call us up to make the order.

We use that link to take payment for our customers.

We haven’t updated our store to 3.X yet as that link not working ruins the entire flow for our office staff manning the phones!

@mikejolley Is there a snippet we can use to bring this functionaility back to us who require it? You mentioned in a previous comment that you could use user_has_cap to give someone this capability – could you provide an example of how could we use that filter to give the capability to administrators? ( that sounds responsible to me ;p )
