I have updated woocommerce and notice that the Customer role is not assigned after checkout and even after making payment. Is there a fast way to fix this?

    Hi, @webcreativemaster!

Are you able to reproduce this issue consistently? And can you check what role the customer is being assigned instead? Also, are the customers showing up correctly under WooCommerce > Customers?

Do note that roles will only be assigned to new accounts. Existing users will not have their roles changed.

    Hi Cara

Yes, I have a record and list of test users. The role became empty ever since update.

    Hello,

Are you using a user role plugin? Could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

Additionally, since the issue started happening after updating WooCommerce, it could be caused by a conflict with theme or plugin. To determine what’s causing the issue, please temporarily switch your theme back to Storefront and disable all plugins except for WooCommerce. If that resolves the issue, then re-enable plugins one-by-one until you find the one that’s causing the conflict.
