I have recently changed from payments going direct through Stripe to being processed by the WooCommerce Payment plugin.
I have a customer who has attempted to pay by Bank Transfer (BACS) but his order has automatically been put on hold and the payment not processed.
Is this a known problem with this plugin or is there something that I need to do to get this type of payment working.
All other forms of payment are working fine including overseas payments.
    Thank you for your assistance.

  • Hi @kevinackford – thanks for getting in touch!

From what I understand, it seems that you have a payment on your site that was made through BACS, however, that order went on hold.

Generally, with the BACS payment method, it is expected that the order would go on hold. Orders using Direct Bank Transfer are set On Hold until payment clears outside of WooCommerceYou, as the store owner, should confirm that payments have cleared bank accounts before processing orders in WooCommerce. It’s important to verify that you are paid before shipping an order and marking it as Processing or Complete. You can see a bit more details about this on this page: https://woocommerce.com/document/bacs/

Specifically for WooCommerce Payments, it does not offer BACS as a payment method – BACS is a payment method that is built into WooCommerce itself. If you are referring to one of the payment methods offered through WooCommerce Payments like so: https://woocommerce.com/document/payments/#section-22 , please let us know and we will be happy to check further.

    Hope this helps!

We’ve not heard back from you in a while, so I’m marking this thread as resolved. If you have further questions, please feel free to open a new topic.
