Hi. I’m considering this plugin for my site: Split Pay for Stripe on Woocommerce.

But is it usefull if I want to make it possible for my customers to pay in installments, eg- they buy a product to 300, and can choose to pay 100 the next 3 month?

The description of the plugin talk about multi-vendor marketplaces,?business partnerships,?supplier/vendor relationships, but not simple customers…

    Thanks

Hi @captcha7913 – thanks for reaching out.

What Stripe payment method are you using in this situation?

    To give some background:

The Split Pay Plugin currently requires two other plugins to be installed simultaneously, one being the WooCommerce Stripe Payment Gateway plugin, so you’d have to be using one of Stripe’s payment methods through that plugin for Transfers to work:

    https://docs.splitpayplugin.com/getting-started/quick-start

We adopted this plugin about 2 years ago, and since then, we are verifying many of the use-cases. We have not yet verified which payment methods besides credit cards are supported by default or which would take additional configuration.

I can always suggest running a TEST mode payment using your preferred payment method and checking if the Transfers succeed on each recurring transaction. Or, if you let me know the payment method, we can run some internal tests and potentially implement a solution, if the tests determine it’s not currently working with that payment method.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Hi. Thanks for your reply.

Before I start testing and installing other plugins, I need to know:
Is the plugin the right one to use if I want to make it possible for my customers to pay in installments, eg- they buy a product to 300, and can choose to pay all at once or 100 the next 3 month?

This plugin would not support that kind of payment structure. I think you’ll need to find something else. The Split Pay Plugin would allow you to transfer a percentage of sales to business partners.

You could use a payment method like Affirm via Stripe to handle that, but I’m not sure if our plugin combined with theirs would support splitting the Transfers across multiple payments automatically, hence the suggestion above of running some tests with that payment method configured, which I’ve taken a note to do either way internally.

Please let me know if that answers your question for now or if there’s anything else I can help with.

Thanks, that answers exactly my question…
