    When customers try to check out, the below error message appears. Shipping + tax won’t calculate and the ‘proceed’ button is ineffective. I have upgraded to the newest e-commerce version, 3.8.14.1., and when I upgrade to the newest version of the WP FlexiShop theme, the whole site layout gets twisted and messed up and the checkout procedure still doesn’t work.

    I am having the exact same issue.
    I am also running FlexiShop theme and wp e-commerce Version 3.8.14.1

    The site looks and works fine except when a user tries to checkout, at the bottom of the checkout page they get this same error:

    This only started happening a few weeks ago.

    Did you work out a fix for this?

    WP eCommerce plugin version 3.8.14.2 just come out. Can you guys try to see if that solves your issue?

    3.8.14.2 does fix the wpsc_google_checkout_page warning. You can download it at https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-e-commerce/

    The warnings go away….but checkout still does not proceed.
    I have paid 2 different people to resolve this problem….still doesn’t work.

    This all sounds like javascript issues and potential conflicts with your theme or other plugins. Happy to help debug, but it appears your site is down.

    Our site is definitely up…we keep it updated and receive many visitors to the site: https://www.divingcatstudio.com
    just about every thing is working on the site…except being able to check out. We are losing sales:-( Some folks do call in and order off the site over the phone.
    Also when we do the Theme updates…our slider on the home page stops sliding on some servers….not for all…

    I think you have a problem with outdated WPeC theme files in your theme folder.
    See if you have the checkout template file and rename it so that WPeC loads the default one

    Dozens of people on these forums are experiencing this problem, and none of the proposed solutions worked for me. The only way I found to fix this rather stupid error was to downgrade to Version 3.8.13.3. My next step is to transition everything to another ecommerce solution.

    We haven’t been able to fix our WordPress website problems….
    It is an ongoing problem.
    Shopping cart stopped working, and slider works only on some servers.
    These problems occurred when I updated WordPress.

    Have you tried using the default theme and retesting? I believe you have two different errors, which might disturb the checkout. The first is JS:

    The second issue is that the URL behind the ‘Proceed’ button on the 2nd checkout page, always points to the same page you are on, so you can’t actually proceed, but simply always return back to the ‘calculate shipping price’ page…

    I have the latest version Wp e-commerce 3.8.14.3 and I’m still having the same issues since I updated to the last version. The tax will not populate at all, and flat rate shipping turned on, I keep getting prompted to select a shipping method and or shipping location.

    I have to turn off my tax and flat rate shipping option for the checkout process to proceed.

    If I’m logged in the admin dashboard and test the shopping cart with setting preferences, my tax and flat rate shipping works fine, logged out it doesn’t.

    By the way – if you downgrade to 3.8.13.3 to get checkout to work, your user list will be chock full of anonymous subscribers in about ten minutes, because that version creates users like a cancer.

    I am having the same issue. I can add the items to the cart, the shipping is correctly calculated, but hitting “purchase” just returns to the same page and no orders go through. I am using the most current version of ecommerce and Weaver theme. I have tried it, also, activating 2013 and 2014 (I assume one of those is the default theme referenced above?)
