I see that other people have had this problem. We have never had this issue before in over 6 years of WordPress and Woo Commerce.

No new plugins, no changes to any settings on any plugins, no edits on any pages.

Yesterday I had several customers emailing to say that they could not put an order in. The error just said it could not be processed

I saw that woo commerce was due to be updated that evening, so updated it and put in a mock order which worked fine (I was not logged in when I placed this order)

Today a customer stated that she could see my details and provided a screen shot

An order was placed today at around 11am and since then I have had several people state that they can see this person’s details and are unable to place an order. I have tried to put in orders in different browsers and get the same issue

Host – Siteground said it was a caching issue, but then don’t know how it happened or what to do to fix it.

Checkout is excluded from caching

I have disabled plugins and then put back on

Page is currently under maintenance and so we are losing sales.

What can I do?

Now – the only plugins I have activated are

Woo Commerce
Elementor
The Theme – Woodmart

the problem is still there – it is in maintaince so only admin can see it
so if I put an order in my details are there – the other admin then puts an order in and my details are there

(so now i do not have any caching plug in activated)

I understand how confusing it must be to see customers’ details mixed up and not being able to process orders, especially when you haven’t made any changes yourself. What you’re describing indeed sound like a caching issue, which can cause information to display incorrectly to users.

First, please ensure that you clear all caches on your site. This includes your web host cache, any WordPress caching plugins, and your browser cache. Even if your checkout is excluded, it’s important to make sure no cached data is causing these problems. Also, WordPress caching plugins like WP Super Cache might be able to help clear them.

Then, check your WooCommerce System Status for any alerts or issues. You can find this under WooCommerce > Status in your WordPress dashboard. If the issue persists, please share the System Status Report so we can dig in further.

thanks for replying
caching ws done – it excluded the basket and checkout, everything was cleared and so I have noe deactivated all plugins (including the caching one – that was sitegrounds one)
Cache was cleared on the host admin

I put an order in, and then so did the other admin – my details were there in his checkout (we are both logged in)

If I deavtivate woocommerce the site goes immediately into critical mode and I need to log in with the code

We have been having the same issue today. I was logged in to our admin account but when I clicked on MY ACCOUNT, it showed my all the info for one our members I had been helping. And clicking logout doesnt work either. I get put into a “password recovery” loop.

Ive seen other similar issues today too so it appears to be a Woocommerce issue as best as I can tell. Ill be keeping an eye out here for a resolution.

I have the same problem here! All caches have been emptied…

It’s interesting that the order still works correctly. Only on the last page before the purchase is completed are the details of the previous buyer available. I have to shut down the shop now because I’m in danger of having to pay a fine for violating data protection.

This is an absolute disaster in the middle of the Christmas season!

This is not a normal behavior you should be able to deactivate and activate WooCommerce without any errors. This suggests something else is interfering with the website functionality.

Please go to to WooCommerce > System Status > Logs and check for any fatal errors.

Lastly, share your site’s System Status Report.
You can find it via WooCommerce > Status.
Select Get system report and then Copy for support.

@amyskea if you are using Elementor then go to Elementor settings > Features > Element Caching and Inactive this and see if you got it fixed.

We had to go back and fully restore our site to resolve the problem. There appears to have been something updated in Woocommerce this week that caused our issue.

However now it appears that we have an issue with duplicate charges. Anyone who had a membership renew in the just 3 days has received duplicate charges. The charges don’t show in their Woocommerce transactions page but they do show on their bank charges so I, unfortunately, can’t refund an extra charge I don’t see.

We don’t believe this is due to any WooCommerce update. As also mentioned above anyone experiencing this please check if you are using Elementor 3.26.0 or 3.26.1 and if so go to Elementor settings > Features >?Element Caching?and set it to?Inactive.

@karuthil - I am the latest version of Elementor and this option was already at inactive

I reverted to a back up (with all the hassles this causes with stock levels and newsletters and orders) 
The back up was just before the order that everyone could see

currently all plugins are activated but i have switched off the auto updates.

My 3 problems are

the last order details are still there to view
when I put a mock order in, the thank you page does not appear – an error messge appears to say that I ahve timed out and to go back to shop (but the order HAS gone in – I get an email to my business annount and also my personal account I used to do the order)
I cannot deactivate WooCommerce – I get a critical error

site on maintenance with all plugins activated
(different from when I started this thread – I had everything deactivated)

I really think it is due to the update – you can literally see my last order and then the update occurs and then the problems start

UPDATE
I have gone back to the backup from Monday I have not updated WooCommerce and some problems are now gone

I no longer see another person’s details when i put an order in
I now see the thank you page after the order

However I still cannot deactivate WooCommerce – it immediately does to critical mode

It is still on maintenance, but I now have all the plugins activated.

I need to put my site live – I have lost almost 2 days worth of sales and so I think I am delaying my problem. As soon as I update WooCommerce this will re-occur.

This is most definitely a Woo Commerce problem, I hope there is an update soon

I am waiting for my colleague to put another order in and will put it back to live later this evening
