Customise Blog Layout depending on Post Type

For my website I added extra post types, using the CPT UI plugin.

When displaying the normal (original) post type (‘post’) I want to show the date and author below the title (I use them for News-items). But when I show the custom post types I do not want to show the date (I use a custom post type for projects and reports).

The problem is that when I use the Customising > Layout > Blag/Archive functionality from the Neve (child) theme, that affects all my post types. Is there a hook that helps me to not show the date or other metadata for a specific post type? Then I can use the Neve Customising functionality to adapt/change my normal posts.
