Customise The Account Page

  • I have really searched but can’t seem to find a simple answer to this.

    I would like to add fields to the user profile (Accounts page)

    I can add fields easily to the registration form but no corresponding field shows in the accounts page for the user to update. I don’t want a new tab with other information I simply want to add a new field (my example is “Country”).

    How do I get Country to appear on the accounts page under name, email etc.

    I don’t know php, but if there is a code snippet I need to add, where would I find a guide on this? and which file should I add it to? (I presume wp-content/plugins/ultimate-member/templates/account.php ).

    Can anyone assist me please and point me in the right direction for making my additional fields which have been added to the registration form appear in the main account tab of the accounts page?

    Het gaat om een website die ik mag maken en onderhouden en ik zal proberen het zo duidelijk mogelijk te omschrijven met afbeeldingen.

    Ik heb Ultimate Member ge?nstalleerd en heel veel ingesteld maar wat ik vreemd vind is dat als ik het wachtwoord ben vergeten en op de knop Forgot Password klik, het verder invul, (inclusief de meldingen tussendoor) een melding krijg in mijn mailbox dat ik ergens op kan klikken, maar helaas zie ik die melding of button niet.
    NB. (zou ik ook graag allemaal in het Nederlands willen)

    Ik zie verder geen active button of link om het wachtwoord te kunnen wijzigen.

    Dan heb ik nog iets vreemds
    Als ik in het Menu bovenaan meerdere pagina’s heb staan en ik klik hier op dan gaat hij terug naar de Homepage.

    In WordPress heb ik bij de Setting-Access het volgende staan:
    Site Accessible to Logged in Users

    Ik heb hier van alles geprobeerd
    Als ik namelijk op de eerste regel “Everyone” aanklik, dan is het wel goed maar met een groot nadeel dat iedereen via Google in de Notulen of andere beschermde pagina’s kunnen komen. Helaas kreeg ik hier klachten over maar ja, zet ik het op “User inloggen” dan wekt het menu weer niet mits je bent ingelogd dan wel want dan ga je naar de beschermde pagina’s toe omdat je die rechten hebt.
    In het menu staat het in ieder geval goed dat iedereen die niet is ingelogd de niet beveiligde pagina’s kunnen bekijken.

    Bij de “Rules” kan ik niet vinden wat nu de juiste instelling is, het lijkt allemaal goed te staan.

    Yes, I am also interested in this issue. Whatever I try to add in Default profile form it doesn’t reflect on Account Page.

    Hi, Thank you for your response.

    I hope this helps someone, I won’t be trying it myself, as I purchased a different plugin.

    A couple of things,

    I did say “I don’t want a new tab” because… I didn’t want to add a new tab (I wanted to add new info to the main profile), also there is no indication of how to implement it (which file to put it into and where) which I also specifically asked for because I was going to buy the plugin and needed just to confirm quickly I could do this and I am new to PHP (as I said)

    You need to custom program that, I just recently did it.

    There are plenty of filters and hooks, the problem is finding the right one!
