Customise widget

    I am looking at moving to this plugin after issues with my current event calendar plugin. I am looking for some help in customising the view for the widget in the page sidebar. I wish to use the list view Minimal but would like to make a few changed to the layout,
    1) I would like to include three letters for the day of the week in the box that shows the date & month.
    2) I don’t want to display the category.

    Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
