• why do you make it so an update completely changes customization? my team has pushed 250k revenue with this app and now since updating devs have to completely redo everything. beyond pissed off. build better apps/ takes simple check box allowing css to not be overwritten by shit updates

Hi @drewbllc sorry to hear about your experience.
It is suggested to keep the customize version separate, or keep the auto update feature of plugin update Turn OFF.

Get a new team of developers? They’re doing it to themselves and they should know better than to keep damaging your business revenue. This is on them.

If you are customizing the plugin directly then you are doing this damage to yourself and should stop.

Create a customized directory in wp-content/plugins/ and modify the file pmpro-discord.php and change the name in the plugin headers. That should ensure that the customized version is left intact.

Mind you, you won’t get any valuable updates to this plugin but you will not be erasing your customizations and your developers can stop doing this to you and themselves.
