Hi. I’m using your plugin which was featured on an iThemes’ Plugin Roundup. It looks promising. One thing I’ve noticed is that when I make edits to the Customize Admin Menu section, it does not save any edits. When I depress the Save All Settings button, nothing happens. Would you please look into this?

Hi there. When I say that it doesn’t save any edits, I mean that I click the save button on the Customize Admin Menu page, nothing happens and the page doesn’t refresh. To check if my edit saved, I refresh the page and nothing was changed.

I’ve set you up as an admin. You should be getting an email with the user info. Let me know what I can do.

Thanks Barbara, I am going to look into this now and hopefully come up with a solution soon.

    Hi Barbara,

Thanks for giving me access to your site. I was able to find the issue and I have since released a new update which will resolve this issue – which is already implemented on your site. The issue was caused by strange characters put into the menu items for the BackUpBuddy plugin. My plugin didn’t know how to handle those characters properly so it wouldn’t let it save.

    Thanks,

WOW…thank you @northern Beaches Websites for doing that. I look forward to continuing to work with your plugin.

@northernbeacheswebsites I’ve deleted your offer to login to your user’s site. I’m am 100% sure you mean well but please never ask for credentials on these forums.

Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.

Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us asking you to repeatedly stop before escalating up to the plugins team.
