I’d like to display 2-3 posts on my blog page. Under the customize section it asks if I’d like to show full posts. I have no checked with an excerpt length of 2. However, all of my posts are showing in full length. Please help. Thanks!

  • Hello mboardma ??

    Go to Settings > Reading

Then change “For each article in a feed, show”
    From Full text to Summary.

    Cheers,

It sounds like there is an override happening with your theme.

I’m not familiar with the Apex theme but I would look for the custom Apex theme settings in the admin panel. In general, an excerpt is a number of characters you want displayed. Usually an excerpt length is around 50-150 chars depending on how much you’re looking to reveal before being clicked on.

If there aren’t any custom settings if you go to admin > settings > reading you can change the amount of post revealed from full post to summary.

    Hope this helps!

I need to make the “excerpt length” description more specific. What this means is the number of words shown in the excerpt, rather than the number of excerpts.

If you want to display two posts on your blog, visit the Reading settings menu (Settings > Reading), and change the “Blog shows at most” value to 2: https://pics.competethemes.com/281m0U010f0Y
