Customize canonical meta tag

    I have created custom rewrite rules for intersecting post types and taxonomies so I have this kind of urls

    /post_type/taxonomy/term/

    but the plugin is setting the canonical to
    rel=”canonical” href=”/taxonomy/term/”

    I know I have made a custom modification so the plugin doesnt have to support it but the question is if I can hook on your canonical function in any way so I can adjust the url.

    Is it possible to modify the output of your canonical tag in wp_head?
