Customize Changes Don't Work

Hi. Like everyone else, I want to congratulate you on creating such a good theme.

So far, the only problem I’m having is that when I use the “Customize” feature, some of the changes don’t work. For example, the “Stuff” settings don’t work. I have “Enable Year in ‘Red Data Ribbons’ checked but the year does not show up in the front end. Also, when I uncheck something the change does not show up.

I created a child theme right after I installed the theme (version 2.14.1) like I do with all my themes. So I am using the child theme. Could that be the problem?
