Customize Dashboard by Role?

    I have a WP site I am working on that is a fitness site. I want to be able to customize the dashboard by a user role. I want this to be global for all Authors for example as the default view. They should only see the dashboard widgets that I want them to.

    Is there an easy hack or better yet a plugin for this?
