    Hi,

Your plugin is very good but web-stories archieve page design is not user friendly.
I want to show only small thumbnail of webstories and title in web-stories archieve page.
If you provide any css code this will be very helpful for me.

You can check this as a reference : https://edition.cnn.com/ampstories

    looking forward to your help.

  • Hello @koushik001 and thanks for getting in touch. Glad to hear you’re enjoying the plugin and sorry to hear you are having issues with your story thumbnails display.

When editing a post in your WordPress site you can use the Web Stories Grid layout to display a grid list like the one you have linked to on the CNN website. Here you can then edit the block to change a number of layout options such as number of columns, number of stories, display date and more.

To do this with the GutenBerg editor while editing a post:

    1. Add a new block and search for ‘Web Stories’.
    2. Select this and then choose either ‘Latest Stories’ or ‘Select Stories’ options.
    3. Select the Grid layout style.

To do this with the classic editor while editing a post:

    1. From the classic editor box select the Web Stories option from the toolbar.
    2. Choose a Grid layout and set the options you wish to have.
    3. Click insert.

When using this grid layout the thumbnail previews should reduce in size the more columns and stories you have. Currently this is the only way to do this and any further amendments would need to be done via custom CSS.

Let me know if this works for you and if not then I can open a new GitHub issue within the amphtml project to try to add further CSS options to these Web Stories embeds.

    Hi @adamdunnage

    Thanks for replying.
Whatever you said is applicable only post.
I use default web-stories archive page.
I need help for customize archive page ( as it displays large thumbnail and full stories ).
For that above structure if you provide any help or any custom css this will be very helpful for me.
    looking forward to your reply.

@koushik001 unfortunately we are unable to provide you with custom CSS for this. We recommend using the existing Web Stories block to show your latest stories anywhere on your site.

If you need more customization over the appearance of your stories, we offer ways to do so. You can learn more about it here: https://github.com/google/web-stories-wp/blob/26826bf3391645624c42d2498d9c239083ff590c/docs/web-stories-embeds.md

@koushik001 There is a GitHub issue for customising the Web Stories archive page. You will find more information on this here.

Please do let me know if you have any further questions.
