Would be cool if you offered the option to customize the content of the emails for blog subscriptions. Some of the stuff included is hidden on my site and not needed for the email. Be nice to be able to add other info too.
    Please consider this option.
    Thanks!

Thank you for contacting us about customizing our Subscriptions feature, @saladgoat!

You can opt to email subscribers a short excerpt, instead of a full post. This can help if our emails are including unwanted content.

Details here, under Can I customize the content of the subscription emails?:

    https://jetpack.com/support/subscriptions/#faq

This may also help drive traffic to your site, as visitors would need to visit to view the full post.

I hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any questions. ??

Yes, I am aware of the limited options and have it already set to show only an excerpt, but I am talking more about the rest of the content. For instance, it shows the name and Gravatar of the author, neither of which is shown on the website as it is unnecessary. Maybe I’d like to change the wording of “Read more of this post” or remove the option to click Comment before they have even read the article. Or maybe it would be nice to have the email layout and design match the layout and design of the website itself. Just a lot of things that would be nice to customize.

    Hi @saladgoat.

We appreciate the feedback on this. As you may or may not have heard, Automattic (Parent company of Jetpack) recently acquired MailPoet, and while at present there is no integration with the Jetpack subscription emails, it may be something that is worked on in the future. In the meantime, if MailPoet looks like a better fit for what you want your site emails to look like, please feel free to give it a try!
