Hi Muhammad,
I LOVE your honesty and would like to see what we can do to make your experience with WP E-Signature a better one.
Re: Branding Options:
WP E-Signatue is a legally binding UETA / ESIGN compliant document signing application and is not like a “plug and play” Woo Commerce or Ecommerce store.
There are very strict national/international laws and regulations surrounding the document e-signing industry. Because of this, though we do offer a few customization options (and are actively working to improve the customization) there are certain things that need to remain consistent across the board so that documents signed on our application carry as much weight as a document signed using a platform like Docusign, HelloSign, Echosign, etc.
As much as I wish our platform could live inside of your theme (I agree with you and totally see the benefits), because of the liability that goes with hosting legal contracts that could end up in a courtroom, our plugin has to live outside of your WordPress theme (to block any third party plugins or theme conflicts that could insert malicious code and jeopardize the integrity of a document that ends up in a court room).
You bring up a FANTASTIC POINT though. I wonder if there are other ways that we can expand the customization of this document page outside of the current customization scope (maybe offer color pickers for the header and footer or possibly a button creator so your document signing page could be somewhat consistent with your theme colors and theme buttons) while still maintaining consistency and brand familiarity for signers that sign on your site using our platform then sign on another WordPress website that also uses our platform.
It’s a delicate juggle because our goal is to build a UETA/ESIGN compliant platform that is recognized and trusted in the courtroom so there needs to be a minimal amount of indication to a signer (and a judge) that a document was signed on our compliant platform… yet there needs to be enough customization that your brand/company is more front and center than the platform branding itself.
What are your thoughts on expanding the customization /color picking options for the header, footer and footer buttons on the document page so that they could better match your current theme?
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Best Regards,
The ApproveMe Team
