Customize Front Page Content not working after Version 1.0.78 update

  • I have just updated my Reikki Companion theme to the 1.0.78 version.

    And now I am unable to edit any content on my Front Page…

    When I head into the Customize, the “Front Page Content” area says “This section only works when the Reiki custom front page is open in Customizer.” and there is a button that says “Open Reikki Front Page”. I’ve clicked onto this but nothing happens and I am still unable to edit any of the contents on the front page.

    Someone please help, I’m not a very techy person so please try to simplify the language.

    What page do you have open in the Customizer? Is it the front page or another page?

    If it’s another page then the message is normal and somehow the button does not work. What you need to do is preview your site to see the front page and click “Customize” in the top bar.

    If that message appears when you open the front page in Customizer then the plugin somehow does not recognize it as the Reiki front page. Please check that your current front page uses the “Front Page Template” template. If it doesn’t that might be why its not recognized correctly.
