• I’m trying to figure out the smartest way to customize the snippets you get with the Front Page: Featured Page option. Ideally I’d like to customize the wording and not have to rely on the opening paragraph/characters of the featured page. Is this possible?

I also think the amount of text is a bit too long. Is there an easy way to show less?

Also I seem to get the Read More-“button” instead of a Swedish language version i.e. L?s mer. It should be translated. It’s not on the list of untranslated parts of either Edin or Goran.

  • Hi there,

You can create your own custom excerpt for each of the pages linked on your site’s front page. ??

To create a custom excerpt: Navigate to the editor for a page and then scroll down to the Excerpt module beneath the main editor. If you can’t find the Excerpts module, select the Screen Options tab in the upper right and then check the option next to Excerpts to get the module to display.

Any text that you enter into the Excerpts module will replace the default excerpt that’s generated from the opening paragraph of your page.

Where were you looking up the translations for Edin and Goran? “Read more” is showing as untranslated in Edin here:

Would you be able to contribute translations via the above project?

    Thanks for the quick reply.

Cool! I did not know that.

I’ll get right to it. Don’t know why I didn’t find it.

You’re most welcome! We’re right here if extra questions come up, too.
